Python Input Validation: FAQ

Why are real dependencies not supported?

The code would get complicated, and potentially slow.
Not only that, one would need to write quite ugly code.
How ugly you ask ?

field_a_int_validator=Int()
field_b_int_validator=Int()
field_a=And(field_a_int_validator,
		dependency=field_b_int_validator)
field_b=And(field_b_int_validator,
		dependency=field_a_int_validator)

Is Int() & Gt() or Int() | Gt() possible ?

At the time of writing no suggar syntax is supported.

Is Optional( Int(), Int() ) supported ?

No and this will never be supported, if you want to do this use Int() & Int() when implemented.

Are regex-fieldname supported ?

Nope not yet implemented
